Allgäu pleasure hotel
Allgäu tradition meets modern architecture. Make yourself comfortable in our new all-wood hotel, which we opened in 2022, in the puristically furnished rooms. With us you live with all your senses in the here and now. Enjoy unforgettable hours in a wonderful ambience. Experience creative work in our bright and spacious conference rooms with an airy roof terrace. Together with our indulgence and activity packages, conferences and seminars here become a special experience.
The old wash house
The old railroad wash house from 1904 stood next to the train station in Leutkirch until 2012. After the wash house had to make way for a block of flats, we dismantled the building into hundreds of individual parts, numbered them and rebuilt it 1:1 in Urlau. At the new location, we completely recreated the interior and established four hotel rooms and two apartments. Reusing a historic building is pure sustainability.
Historic village inn Hirsch
An original restaurant from 1906 with fresh, regional cuisine, a cozy beer garden and an event barn in the former hayloft invite you to enjoy. In the former shooting range and dance hall as well as in the old wash house there are 19 hotel rooms with very different creative styles. We have lovingly restored the old floors, doors and stucco. The bathrooms have all been newly installed. As a hotel guest, we are happy to welcome you to the Hirsch for breakfast and dinner.
Vacation apartments at the Mühlenweiher
Our five apartments at the Mühlenweiher, newly built in 2021, are perfect for your next family vacation. With over 100 m², there is enough space for everyone. Even during a longer business stay, you can fully unfold here. Your vacation apartment includes three bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a living and dining area, a bathroom with shower and bathtub, a sun terrace with barbecue and a carport.

Allgäu gourmet manufactory
A good dozen artisans and craftspeople, such as brewers, coffee roasters, distillers, potters and goldsmiths, present their traditional craftsmanship in the historic brewery building in the style of a market hall on three floors. Not only can you buy these special products, but with a bit of luck you can also watch them being made. The Genussmanufaktur was initiated by almost 1000 citizens in the form of a cooperative. Urlauer brewery
In 2019, six Allgäu lads, including Hirsch managing directors Tobias Schwägele and Christian Skrodzki, set themselves the task of re-establishing a brewery in the historic brick building of the “Alte Urlauer Brauerei” after 90 years of standstill – the brewery had been closed since the so-called Murder of Urlau in 1929. Today, the boys are living their dream of “Our little brewery”. The Dorfgasthof Hirsch was quickly chosen as the brewery inn and given the honor of serving the beers freshly tapped.

Village store and village café
"Heimat & Genuss"
The village store and the village café are part of the “Allgäuer Genussmanufaktur” project. Our village store sells regional products such as bread, cheese, milk, sausage, eggs, pasta, coffee, beer, gifts and much more. For reasons of sustainability, the products are sourced from within a maximum radius of 75 kilometers. The village store with café is run by the historic Hirsch village inn / Allgäuer Genusshotel. Regional shopping fun Tuesday to Friday from 10 am to 5 pm, Saturday and Sunday 9 am to 5 pm!
