There are a number of easy hikes for families around Urlau and Leutkirch. The Bergle circuit is particularly popular, leading up the Vogelberg via a short root path and offering a wonderful panorama and a place to stop for refreshments in Frauenzell. Children can playfully discover old crafts at eleven stations on the Spieloasen adventure trail – the approximately 2.8-kilometre circular trail is suitable for baby carriages and provides exciting puzzles along the way. If you want to combine nature and culture, choose the “Städtle-Runde”: it leads over the Allmishofer Höhe with sweeping views of the Alpine foothills to the historic old town of Leutkirch, where picturesque alleyways and cozy inns invite you to take a break.

Sunrise tour on the Black Ridge
Our sunrise tour to the Black Ridge is a very special experience. In the early hours of the morning, we hike to the summit together and experience how the sun bathes the Allgäu landscape in golden light – a moment full of happiness.
The route is around 7 km long (approx. 2.5 hours) and leads past the Alpe Wenger Egg and back through the idyllic Eschach Valley. The meeting point is the “Schwarzer Grat” hiking parking lot.
Difficulty: easy-medium
Altitude: 879 – 1,049 m above sea level.
